2 soldiers hurt in Cagayan clash feted for gallantry

CAMP MELCHOR F. DELA CRUZ, Upi, Gamu, Isabela – Two soldiers wounded in an encounter in Gattaran, Cagayan over the weekend have been awarded for their gallantry in action. Major Gen. Fernyl Buca, Armed Forces Northern Luzon Command chief, pinned the Wounded Personnel Medal to Sgt. Wilme D. Arce and Sgt. Marlon C. Layron when he visited them in this camp where they are recuperating on Sunday, March 19. Buca acknowledged troops in the frontline who are ready to sacrifice themselves in order to protect the people from communist atrocities. He assured troops on the ground  that the Northern Luzon Command fully supports to campaign to end the communist armed conflict.
