Parañaque LGU holds fun run, zumba for 25th cityhood anniversary


The Parañaque City government held the “Takbo at Indak para sa Malusog at Masiglang Parañaqueños” activity as part of its 25th cityhood anniversary on Feb. 13.

Mayor Eric Olivarez joined the activity at the Manila Memorial Part in Sucat Road, Parañaque on Sunday, Feb. 5.

Olivarez danced together with Zumba ladies from 16 barangays in the city at the start of the “Takbo at Indak para sa Malusog at Masiglang Parañaqueños.”

He also joined sports enthusiasts in the fun run and won in the 5-kilomoter race.

The mayor, who is a fitness enthusiast, thanked the participants who joined in the funrun and zumba offered by the city government.

Olivarez emphasized the importance of being healthy and physically fit.

During the activity, the city government gave surprise gifts to six participants who won in the fun run, and five in zumba.

Olivarez said another fitness activity for cyclist and bike riders with the theme “Padyak Parañaque sa Kalusugan” will be conducted at the Ayala Malls, Manila Bay on Feb 11.

He said the city government prepared various activities in celebration of the 25th Cityhood Anniversary on Feb. 13.
