Parañaque gov’t issues traffic advisory for ‘Padyak Parañaque sa Kalusugan’

The Parañaque City local government issued on Monday, Feb. 6, a traffic advisory for “Padyak Parañaque sa Kalusugan” activity.

The city government said that some roads will be closed to give way to the activity that will be held at Ayala Malls, Manila Bay from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Feb. 11.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said “Padyak Parañaque sa Kalusugan” is one of the activities prepared by the city government in celebration of the 25th Cityhood Anniversary on Feb. 13.

Olivarez said parts of Aseana Avenue, Diosdado Macapagal Seaside Drive and J. W. Diokno Boulevard will be closed during the event.

He said the event, a project of the City Health Office (CHO), will be participated in by cyclists and bicycle riders aged six years old and above.

The mayor said the family-oriented event aims to promote cycling and other forms of active transport as excellent means of commuting.

Olivarez said the event is free and open to 800 participants.

He advised motorists to take alternate routes in going to their destinations to avoid heavy traffic.
