Elijah Canlas convinces girlfriend actress Miles Ocampo to do daring scenes

Award-winning actor Elijah Canlas knows best!

At the media conference for Cornerstone Entertainment recently, Elijah revealed that he convinced her girlfriend actress Miles Ocampo to accept daring roles for her showbiz projects.

"About the rape scene for 'Batang Quiapo,' pinaalam niya yun sa akin. Binasa ko nga yung script niya nun eh. Tinulungan ko rin siya magprepare for that. Natawa ako nung una pero sabi ko 'game.' It looks like a powerful scene. Sabi ko ikaw makakagawa ng tama n'yan. Excited ako makita sa gagawin niya. And she did it!" Elijah said.

As a result, Miles ranked among the worldwide trends for her emotional portrayal of a conflicted young mother.

Elijah, 22, also encouraged Miles to do kissing scenes on-screen.

"Never pa po siya nagka-kissing scene so noong naging kami na, nagkaroon na ako ng karapatan na sabihan siya na 'hey, oras na para iexplore mo ang side na ito. You have to be braver with your choices.' Pero siya naman, ayaw niyang mag-kissing scenes ako," the award-winning actor said.

Elijah also said that he and Miles really help each other in their showbiz career.

"Happy lang kami na nagtutulungan kami sa trabaho. Nobody knows our job well than ourselves. We're both actors and we're both artists. Siya gusto niya explore indie while ako gusto ko naman explore mainstream. So sakto, nagtutulungan po kami," he added.
