ILOILO CITY – An express delivery company in Jaro District here was robbed of P623,000 by three men on Wednesday night, March 1.
Police have identified two suspects in the robbery of J&T.
“We have identified two of the three suspects,” said Major Shella Mae Sangrines, spokesperson of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO). “It was through a rogues gallery and with the help of the management of J&T as well as the CCTV footage,” Sangrines said in a statement on Thursday, March 2.
Branch finance officer Judy Ann Blanco and colleague Blandino Paner were conducting inventory when the suspects entered and declared a holdup at around 7:30 p.m.
Suspects who fled onboard a motorcycle carted away P622,966, Blanco’s wallet containing cash and Automated Teller Machine cards, as well as Paner’s vape cigarette.
City police director Col. Joeresty Coronica ordered Capt. Lester Oliveros, ICPO-Jaro police station chief, to conduct hot pursuit operations against the suspects.
