3 barangays in Quezon declared drug-cleared

TIAONG, Quezon – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Quezon Provincial Office declared three barangays here as drug-free on Monday, Feb. 6.

PDEA-Quezon head Noreen Batista issued certificates to Barangays Bula, Poblacion 2, and Poblacion 3 which were received by barangay chairmen during the flag-raising ceremony.

Mayor Vincent Arjay Mea was given a citation by PDEA-Quezon for his unrelenting and intensive campaign against illegal drugs.

Recently, the Quezon Police Provincial Office awarded the Tiaong police station headed by Lt. Col. Marlon Cabataña for being the No. 1 police station in the campaign against illegal drugs relation to the nationwide Philippine National Police Simultaneous Anti-criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO).

It was also cited for being the police station with the second-highest number of buy-bust operations conducted in line with the nationwide SACLEO.
