Get ready for summer travels with a CTEK battery charger

Published Mar 19, 2023 09:11 am
Before going on that much needed summer drive, make sure your vehicle is well maintained and ready for the long journey. Easily one of the biggest dampers to a road trip is a vehicle that won’t even start. However, this can be avoided with the right tool. In addition to the regular mechanical maintenance, it is just as important to keep your car’s battery at its best. It is, after all, the lifeblood of your vehicle. A battery is meant to be kept fully-charged at all times and this is where CTEK Smart Battery Chargers come in. With regular use, it keeps your vehicle’s battery topped-up and running smoothly, ready for any journey. The most accessible of the CTEK line is the bestselling CTEK MXS 5.0. With summer roadtrips coming up, there is no better time to make sure that your battery is set and ready to take you where you want to go. The CTEK MXS 5.0 is the brand’s universal charger, packed with the following functions: easy to use; compatible with all types of vehicles; maintains and reconditions; and is safe for long-term usage.

Compatible with all types of vehicles

Whether you’re on 4-wheels or 2-wheels, the CTEK MXS 5.0 is compatible with all types of 12V lead-acid batteries, including AGM batteries, of up to 110Ah. Not only does it charge, but it also includes a battery diagnosis that evaluates whether your battery can receive and retain a charge.

Maintains and reconditions

The MXS 5.0 is designed for maintenance. Each time you connect it to your battery, it delivers the right charging pulses in order to effectively bring the battery up to 100%. Once it reaches the mark, the charger automatically goes into Pulse Monitoring mode, wherein it keeps track of the charge level in the battery. The moment the battery’s charge level goes down to 80%, the MXS 5.0 will resume charging. This allows the MXS 5.0 to charge efficiently, while ensuring that there is no risk of overcharging. The MXS 5.0 is also equipped with Recond mode, a special function that allows the charger to recondition deeply discharged batteries. It also includes a patented automatic desulphation program.

Safe for long-term usage

The MXS 5.0 uses CTEK’s patented float/pulse system, which makes it safe when connected for long periods of time. It is also splash and dust-proof, with an IP65 rating that guarantees sparkfree operation, and is short-circuit proof. These safety standards guarantee that you can “connect and forget”, making CTEK the most convenient maintenance charger for your vehicles. Leave it on for a day, a week, a month, or even a year — you can be assured of a healthy battery with no overcharging.

The CTEK MXS 5.0 is available in 2 package formats: the single box at P8,750 and the Battery Charger and Maintainer Value Pack in P8,200. The Value Pack comes with a complimentary carrying case.
