Despite her busy schedule as the country’s second-highest official, Vice President Sara Duterte celebrated Araw ng Dabaw, or Davao Day, with her fellow Davaoeños.

The Office of the Vice President (OVP) itself attended and participated in the “Parada Dabawenyo” in Davao City to mark the Davao Day celebrations.

“Isa ang OVP SA 273 contingents mula sa iba’t ibang mga non-government organizations, people’s organizations, private companies, mga paaralan at unibersidad, government agencies at barangay units ang sumama sa parada para ipagdiwang ang 86th Araw ng Dabaw (The OVP is one of the 273 contingents from different non-government organizations, people’s organizations, private companies, schools and universities, government agencies, and barangay units that participated in a parade to celebrate the 86th Davao Day),” Duterte said in a Facebook post.

Duterte shared several photos of the celebration that showed her sitting on stage with her brothers, Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte and Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte.

Also with her was former Palace spokesman and ardent supporter Harry Roque.

The Araw ng Dabaw is a month-long celebration, the Vice President said in her post, showcasing the various effigies, masquerades, and floats created by Davaoeños.

She also took numerous photos with the participants.

A self-proclaimed proud Davaoeña, Duterte was mayor of the city before running for vice president.

In her Facebook post, she shared about thanking her fellow Davaoeños for their support to the local government there.
