Regina Jurado and Milena Alessandrini tallied 13 and 12, respectively, while Imee Hernandez added 10 of her own. The Golden Tigresses couldn’t turn away the Lady Warriors in the opening set after leading by double-digits, 17-6. The Golden Tigresses, however, completely regained their dominance in the next three sets to keep themselves in the top four. "I-correct lang namin yung mga unforced error namin at malamyang galaw. Yun ang pinilit namin itama kasi hindi kami nagseset ng tempo ng laro namin,"said head coach Kungfu Reyes on the Tigresses' first set loss. Ja Lana paced UE with 12 points all coming from attacks, while KC Cepada and Van Bangayan contributed 12 and 11, respectively, in the losing effort. The Lady Warriors absorbed their seventh straight loss and were kept winless at the end of the first round for a 0-7 card.
