DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Agusan del Norte 1st District Representative Jose Aquino II, and Butuan City Mayor Ronnie Vicente Lagnada were also present at the event held at Urios Gym, Butuan City.

In a Facebook post, the agency said that the cash aid targets to help families with their expenses amid rising prices of oil and other necessities.

Gatchalian also attended a consultative meeting with Agusan del Norte Governor Maria Angelica Rosedell Amante-Matba and other local officials to discuss projects that will alleviate poverty in the province, particularly in remote areas.
