Sophomore Bella Belen paved the way for NU with 16 points built on 14 attacks, a block and an ace, while Alyssa Solomon and Cess Robles chipped in 14 and 12, respectively.
The Lady Tamaraws went blank on the offensive end as they were held to a single-digit production, with Chenie Tagaod and Jean Asis only scoring six points each in the straight-set beating.
FEU, which wrapped up its first round campaign, absorbed a 4-3 record.
NU is set to face Season 84’s championship rival De La Salle on Wednesday, March 22, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
