Las Piñas to showcase best 'kakanin' products in 'Flavors of NCR'
Las Piñas City will be showcasing two of its best "kakanin" products at the "Flavors of NCR" food festival this coming April 27 to 28.
City Tourism and Cultural Office (TCO) Supervising Tourism Operations Officer Paul San Miguel said the “kakanin” producers will be given the chance to market and sell their products for two days.
The chosen food makers who will represent the city are "Bea’s home of quality kakanin and other native delicacies" and "Kainan ni Basty Jacob."
He noted that they were selected by the local government for being considered the best producers of different kinds of “kakanin” and other delicacies in the city.
San Miguel added that Mayor Imelda Aguilar fully supports the two entries of the city to the forthcoming “Flavors of NCR”.
Flavors of NCR is an annual food festival organized and headed by the Association of Tourism Officers in the National Capital Region (ATO-NCR).
It aims to showcase various staple meals and unique delicacies that the cities in the Metro have to offer, while promoting food tourism to local and foreign visitors.
San Miguel said the event is in collaboration with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and local governments in NCR.
The festival will be held at the Kartilya ng Katipunan in Manila.
