Guanzon rants on sugar shortage: 'Paano nag short supply?'
P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon busted another nerve on Twitter after getting wind of news that sugar was in "short supply".
As usual, Guanzon didn't mince her words on the topic as she felt that it was all a set-up to justify the importation of sugar.
"Milling season ngayon ng sugar . Paano nag short suppy? gina gago nyo ang mga tao para mga import ang mga smugglers na kamag .anak nyo .#mgaunutil (It's milling season for sugar. How can it be in short supply? You're making fools out of people in order for your smuggler-relatives to make imports)," she tweeted on Thursday, March 16.
Unabated importation will just kill the local sugar industry, Guanzon said.
"Sugar traders say cheaper ang sugar sa Thailand kaya ok ang impprtation. Mga potah , kung import kayo ng import u will kill the sugar industry snd the sugar workers. Kayo lang kikita mga kawatan kayo ! (Sugar traders say Thailand sugar is cheaper, that's why importation is OK. [Expletive], if you keep on importing then you will kill the sugar industry snd the sugar workers. Only you will earn a profit, you thieves!)" she said.
"Sino ba ang P ng amang kawatan na mga smuggler ng sugar ? Mga kawatan ang mga kamag.anak nola . #mgainutil (Who are these [expletive] who are smugglers of sugar? Their relatives are thieves)," continued Guanzon.
Guanzon is a former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner.
