FL Liza Marcos hosts lady envoys for Women’s Month

First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos hosted women ambassadors to the Philippines in the presidential residence for the celebration of Women’s Month, United Kingdom (UK) Ambassador to Manila Laure Beaufils shared in a Twitter post on Friday, March 17.
“Thank you First Lady Liza Marcos for your generosity inviting women ambassadors to (the Philippines) into your warm and beautiful home,” the envoy wrote.
The British ambassador also thanked the First Lady “for teaching me how to do a proper selfie.”

The envoy, who was wearing a black shirt, posted her selfie with Marcos, who was seen wearing a tan-colored piña top.
Beaufils used the hashtags #FirstLady #WomensMonth, #Kindness, #PinoyTalent,and #NeverTooLateToLearn in her post.
Marcos also shared photos of the cocktail reception with the lady ambassadors held on Friday at the Bahay Pangulo in Malacañang.
Earlier, US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson also hosted a “power breakfast” for the 14 women ambassadors and Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Tess Lazaro.

"This is what diplomacy looks like. 14 women ambassadors in (the Philippines). Diverse and confident. Smart and focused. Kind and supportive. I feel both proud and lucky to be part of this amazing group on women," Beaufils said in a separate Twitter post with a heart emoticon.
Aside from Beaufils and Carlson, other women ambassadors were from France, Germany, Australia, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Colombia, among others.
