The former MSC champions had a roller-coaster start to the season where they only won two matches in their seven assignments in the first round.

While displaying some flashes of brilliance, E2max admitted that there was some fine-tuning needed for his team to finally get their engines going – something he hopes the team could finally showcase in the second half of the regular season.

“I think nakikita ko na yung team namin na papunta na sa gusto naming performance nila kasi usually talaga pag start talaga ng season nandun kami sa mga trials eh nandun kami sa mga testing the waters pa kami sa mga kalaban so kapag nakalaban na namin sila alm na namin yung next move,” said the player-turned-coach.

Omega indeed opened the second round of the eliminations on a high note, exacting its revenge on first round tormentor Onic Philippines via 2-1 reverse sweep.

The team also showed more maturity and better cohesion after overcoming a huge Game 1 collapse that saw their opponents comeback and give them a dose of their own medicine.

Omega responded with two convincing wins with Mico “Mikko” Tabangay finally showing his worth and Duane “Kelra” Pillas leading the way for the team.

“Mas confident na rin kami lumaban ngayong second round kasi mas pinaghahandan na namin yung mga nakalaban na namin before. Mas doble trabaho kami ngayon and focus sa mga kailangan palakasin sa team,” said E2max.
