BTS’ Jimin’s ‘Set Me Free Pt. 2’ grabs No. 1 spot on iTunes in 110 countries 


K-pop idol group BTS member Jimin has achieved good results with the pre-released song “Set Me Free Pt.2.” 

According to Big Hit Music, “Set Me Free Pt. 2,” released on March 17, garnered the No. 1 spot on iTunes’ Top Songs chart in 110 countries and territories including the UK, Canada, Italy, Finland, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Chile, Qatar, Sweden, Thailand, Vietnam and United Arab Emirates as of 9 a.m. KST on March 18.

The music video for “Set Me Free Pt. 2” was also released at 1 p.m. KST on March 17 on YouTube. As of this writing, the music video has garnered 17.66 million views. 

"Set Me Free Pt. 2" is a hip-hop track that portrays Jimin’s resolution to free himself by overcoming the pain, sorrow and emptiness hidden deep inside him. Credited as a writer and composer of the track, Jimin set the tone with repeated lyrics “set me free,” and “finally free." 

It is a pre-release song from Jimin’s upcoming album “Face” that will be released on March 24. 

Jimin will be appearing on the Korean music shows “M Countdown” on March 30 and “Music Bank” on March 31.
