P24-M shabu seized in Cebu

CEBU CITY — Police seized suspected shabu from three drug pushers worth over P24 million in buy-bust operations in the province of Cebu on Thursday, March 16.

SUSPECTED shabu worth P14.2 million was seized from a 23-year-old woman in Barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu on Thursday morning, March 16. (Photo contributed by Alan Tangcawan) In Barangay Pahina Central, this city, two men were caught with 1.5 kilos of shabu worth P10.2 million. Suspects were identified as Elynjob Nacario and Ramil Uy. Several hours earlier, a 23-year-old woman yielded more than two kilos of shabu in Barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City. Police said shabu seized from Chabelita Bantilan had an estimated value of P14.2 million. Col. Elmer Lim, chief of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LLCPO), said the suspect is a newly identified drug personality operating in Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, and Mandaue City. Lim added that Bantilan was hired as a “bodegero” (warehouse man) of a drug personality incarcerated at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City. The suspect was listed as a high-value individual, Lim said, as she was operating in three major cities in Cebu.
