Carnapper arrested in Pasay City

The Pasay City police arrested a man for alleged carnapping during a manhunt and “Oplan Galugad” operation on Thursday, March 16.
Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, said the suspect, Romel Rico, 25, was arrested around 6:10 p.m. along Villamor Airbase, Barangay 183, Pasay City.
Uy said members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and police sub-station 6 conducted a manhunt operation and “Oplan Galugad” leading to the arrest of Rico, who was tagged as the fourth most wanted person in the city.
The city police chief said the operating team served a warrant of arrest against Rico issued by Judge Elenita Carlos Dimaguiba of the Pasay Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 298 with bail recommended at P300,000.
Uy said the suspect was detained at the police custodial facility following his arrest.
