For P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon, the agricultural math simply doesn't allow for rice to be sold at P20 per kilo.

"Paano.magiging P20 ang bigas kung ang fertilizer more than 3K per bag ? #mgainutil (How can rice retail for P20 per kilo if fertilizers cost more than 3K per bag?)" Guazon tweeted on Thursday night, March 16.

It was President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s campaign promise to reduce retail prices of rice down to P20 per kilo. Rice is the staple food of Filipinos.

Marcos wasn't spared from Guanzon's Twitter tirade.

"Ang fertilizer ngayon 3900 a sack . Dati P700 lang.bakit? Kasi may cartel. (Fertilizer now costs 3900 sack. It was only P700 before, why?) HOARDING tolerated by BBM  as Sec of Agriculture," she claimed.

"Subsidize nya ang fertilizer  instead na mag import sya at import #mgainutil (He should subsidize fertilizers instead of importing)," added the former Commission on Elections (Comelec) chief.

While in Camarines Sur Thursday, Marcos said that he was nearing his goal of P20-kilo rice, citing that rice can now be bought at P25 per kilo.
