Ex-NPA fighter yields in Nueva Ecija

A former member of the New People’s Army surrendered to the police in Nueva Ecija on Thursday, March 16. Col. Richard Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, identified the surrenderer as “Ka Allan,” 41. Ka Allan was a former squad member of the Samahang Yunit Propaganda (SYP) under the Josefino Corpuz Command operating in Nueva Vizcaya and Nueva Ecija from 2003 to 2005. The 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company and other law enforcement units conducted a special intelligence operation that resulted in the voluntary surrender of Ka Allan. Ka Allan turned over a caliber .38 revolver loaded with two ammunition and two plastic bottles containing explosive materials. He will undergo debriefing to obtain information that could be used for future intelligence operations.
