Cell phone snatcher nabbed in Taguig

A suspected cell phone snatcher was arrested by the police in a follow-up operation in Taguig on March 16.  Police identified the suspect Armel Cabatay, 23, while his cohort, identified as Dino Chavez, 38, is still at large.  The suspect and the recovered cell phone (Photos from Taguig police)
The follow-up operation was implemented based on the complaint of Ma. Rafaela Salmorin, 18, who went to the Taguig police’s Substation 10 to file a report.  She said she was waiting for a jeepney along MLQ Avenue in Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig at about 4:30 a.m. on March 16 when two suspects robbed her and took her cell phone. The police recovered her cell phone worth P18,000.  Cabatay was taken to the Taguig police station and will be charged for the crime.
