The four children slain in Cavite by the live-in partner of their overseas Filipino worker (OFW) mother were laid to rest in Taysan, Batangas, on Friday, March 17.

Family and friends brought the remains of Princess Viajan Marie D. Doria, 14; Bianca Rose D. Bisa, 10; Jacky Joy D. Bisa, 8; and Conrado D. Bisa Jr., 5, to their final resting place.

Raquin Comia Bisa, uncle of the three youngest victims, told the Manila Bulletin that their family is doing their best to support his older brother, Conrado Bisa Sr., as he grieves the loss of his children.

The victims' half-brother, Michael Bisa, said they focused on the task of giving his siblings a proper send-off amid their bereavement.

“Tulad po nang aming ipinangako sa mga bata, naihatid naman po at nabigyan namin nang maayos na libing at bagong tahanan ang mga kapatid namin, kahit durog na durog kaming lahat (Just as we have promised the children, we gave them an orderly interment and we sent our siblings to their new home, even if we are all crushed),” Michael told the Manila Bulletin.

Before the interment, Senator Imee R. Marcos and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Administrator Arnell A. Ignacio visited the wake to offer their condolences to the victims' family.

Marcos and Ignacio talked with the children's mother, Virginia Dela Peña.

“Para maiwasan na maulit pa ang ganitong krimen sa mga anak ng ating mga OFW, makikipagtulungan tayo sa DMW, OWWA at DSWD para sa pinaka-mabuting solusyon (To avoid this type of crime against the children of our OFWs, we will coordinate with the Department of Migrant Workers, OWWA, and Department of Social Welfare and Development to come up with the best solution),” the Senator said in a Facebook post.

On March 9, Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) released a report about the murder of four children in Trece Martires City at the hands of Felimon Pilasangga Escalona, live-in partner of Saudi Arabia-based Dela Peña.

On March 16, the family commemorated the youngest victim’s sixth birth anniversary at the memorial chapel.
