'Ayuda' for Baguio fire victims coming soon, says Cong Go
Baguio City lone district Rep. Mark Go is following through on his promise to help victims of the fire that recently struck the local public market.
Go, chairman of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education, provided an update on Facebook regarding the "ayuda" effort for the fire victims.
"Our team is currently completing documentation of recipients for the financial assistance we will give to the fire victims of the Baguio City Public Market Blocks 3 and 4 in partnership with DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development)," he wrote on
"We are targeting a distribution date by this week," added the veteran congressman.
Go, who has been busy performing his functions as a legislator in Batasan Complex, Quezon City, went on to give a nice shoutout to his wife, Sol, and friends for helping out in the post-fire cleanup and distribution of snacks.
"Every effort that we do to help will add up to the big picture. Kudos to our City Government, led by Mayor Benjie, for their clearing operations. Hindi madali ang kanilang ginagawa. Magtulungan tayo, Baguio! (Their jobs aren't easy. Let's help each other, Baguio!)" he said.
