2 drug peddlers arrested in Parañaque buy-bust

Two alleged drug peddlers, including a minor, were arrested by members of the Parañaque Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) during a buy-bust operation on Friday, March 17.   Police identified the suspects as Dannise Lequigan,41, a driver; and "Banson", 17.    According to the report submitted to Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Kirby John Brion Kraft, the suspects were arrested at Purok I Silverio Compound in Barangay San Isidro at around 12:05 a.m.   Col. Renato Ocampo, Parañaque City police chief, said that members of the SDEU seized 55 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P374,000.   Ocampo said the SDEU operatives also confiscated seven pieces of P1,000 bill used as boodle money, a black pouch, and four P100 bills.   The recovered drugs were brought to the SPD Forensic Unit for quantitative and qualitative analysis.   The city police chief said the suspects were charged with illegal possession of drugs.
