Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez is inviting parents whose children are not yet baptized to participate in the “Binyagang Bayan” offered by the local government on March 25.
Olivarez made the announcement of the scheduled “Binyagang Bayan” during the regular Monday flag raising ceremony held at the Treasurer’s Lounge in the Parañaque City Hall.
The mayor said the program is open to children aged seven years old and below.
The mass baptism will be held at Our Lady of Airways in Pasay City.
Olivarez advised those who are interested to be part of the “Binyagang Bayan” to bring a photocopy of the parents’ valid identification card (ID) and marriage contract, as well as a copy of the birth certificate of the child.
The necessary documents must be submitted to the Mayor Barangay Action Office (MBAO) located at their nearest barangays until March 15.
The city government is accepting 140 children to participate in the activity, 70 of them from District I and the other half from District II.
Olivarez said parents may coordinate with the Special Service Office and the Local Civil Registry if they have any questions.
The local government conducts the “Binayagang Bayan” thrice a year.
