Michelle Yeoh's mom is excited to celebrate daughter's Oscar win

In a video posted by AFP, it can be seen that the friends and family of Michelle Yeoh converged together to watch The Academy Awards live in the hopes of Michelle bringing home the Best Actress Award for the movie “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.” This was held at a Kuala Lumpur cinema.  Source: AFP

“I’m very excited. I’m very proud of my daughter. I love my daughter. My daughter is a hardworking girl,” Janet Yeoh, Michelle's mom, told reporters. She also shared that she's excited to celebrate with her next month—her birthday falls on April. 
“As Malaysians, we are so, so proud of her because I’ve been a fan since I was really young, and I always look up to her and she’s my idol. I’m so so honored that we, as Malaysians, have our very first Asian actress to win the Oscars this year,” says one of the guests.  Source: AFP

“The nominees are really strong, but we have no doubts. We kept telling her that you will win, we’re going to envision it for you,” Michelle’s niece Vicki shared in an interview.
