Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA) Party-list Rep. Migs Nograles now knows how her late father, former House Speaker Prospero Nograles felt all those years ago when he worked atop the rostrum in the House of Representatives.

In an emotional Facebook post late Monday night, March 13, Rep. Nograles gave a shoutout to her dad after she performed the duty of presiding officer during the day's session.

"Ganito pala feeling ni Papa Boy Nogie before (So this was how Papa Boy Nogie felt before). Hope I made you proud today, papa," she wrote.

Monday was the same day that the lower chamber held its traditional all-women plenary session.

"As we celebrate the women’s month, the 19th Congress did an all women’s session earlier today and got the opportunity to preside as the floor Deputy Speaker," Rep. Nograles said.

"Thank you for the leadership of the House for giving me this opportunity ❤️ I am beyond grateful," added the 32-year-old rookie legislator.

Rep. Nograles is an assistant majority leader in the ongoing 19th Congress.

Her father served as House Speaker from 2008 to 2010.
