There is no truth to rumors that President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s second executive secretary since he assumed the position is resigning.

This was confirmed on Tuesday by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin himself, who called the rumor in a statement as "fake news."

He added that it is only "part of black propaganda."

Bersamin made the remark after rumors about his and his staff's resignation spread. Several tabloids even reported about his alleged move.

On Saturday last week, Malacañang already denied the speculations that Bersamin quit his post. They are "not true," according to Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil.

Bersamin replaced Vic Rodriguez, who resigned in September 2022—less than three months after assuming the post.

Rodriguez also initially dispelled rumors he was stepping down.
