Pasay LGU offers free chest x-ray on World TB Day

The Pasay City local government will provide  free chest x-ray services in all health centers in the city this month leading up to the celebration of World Tuberculosis (TB) Day on Friday, March 24. Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the City Health Office (CHO) is offering free chest x-ray to residents aged 15 years old and above to stop the spread of TB in the city. Rubiano said the CHO targets to serve around 200 patients per day from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The CHO team served residents in Barangay 136 at San Roque Health Center and at San Pablo Health Center in Barangay 180 on Monday, March 13. In line with the World Tuberculosis Day on March 24, the Pasay City local government held a free x-ray checkup for residents at San Roque Health Center in Barangay 136, on March 13, 2023. The free chest x-ray services will also be given by the CHO team on March 15 at the Kalayaan Health Center in the Kalayaan Covered Court and Dona Martha Health Center in Barangay 154; as well as on March 16 at the San Isidro Health Center in Barangay 54 and Villamor Airbase Health Center in Barangay 183. Rubiano said the city government previously conducted these services on March 7 at the Dona Nena Health Center and Dr. Elvira M. Lagrosa Health Center; and on March 9 at the Leveriza Health Center in Barangay 38 and 39, as well as the Malibay Health Center in Malibay Plaza. Residents who wish to avail of the free chest x-ray are advised to coordinate with their nearest health center.
