House panel cancels probe on 'missing' Degamo bodyguards; here's why
The House Committee on Public Order and Safety has cancelled its scheduled inquiry Tuesday, March 14 on slain Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo's "missing" police escorts on Tuesday, March 14.
This was confirmed on Monday night, March 13 by committee chairman, Sta. Rosa City lone district Rep. Dan Fernandez.
"In deference with the ongoing investigation, the Speaker [Martin Romualdez] deem[ed] it right to cancel the hearing tom[orrow]," Fernandez told reporters.
Top officials of the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) ,among others were supposed to attend the House panel's motu proprio investigation.
