Over 300 elementary pupils received school supplies and dental kits when Vice President and Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sara Duterte visited a public school in Aklan on Monday, March 13.
In a Facebook post, Duterte shared photos of her visit to Caticlan Elementary School in Malay, Aklan to greet the learners and teachers.

During the visit, 350 students from Grades 1 to Grade 3 received “PagbaBAGo” bags containing school supplies and dental kits. The campaign is one of the flagship programs of the Office of the Vice President (OVP).
Duterte also underscored the importance of the role of parents in their children's future.
“Kasabay din ng PagbaBAGo campaign ay ang mensahe ng responsible parenthood para naman sa mga magulang — upang mapaghandaan nila ang kinabukasan ng kanilang anak, una-unang na ang pagtiyak na makapag-aral sila (Along with the PagbaBAGo campaign is the message of responsible parenthood for parents — so that they can prepare for their child's future, the first thing is to make sure that they get an education,” she said in her post.
