2 NPA organizers surrender in Quezon

CAMP GEN. VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Two members of underground mass organization (UGMO) Pinag-isang Lakas ng mga Magbubukid (PIGLAS)-Quezon under Anakpawis and Sangay ng Partido sa Lokalidad (SPL) of the New People’s Army (NPA) surrendered to the police at the 405th Maneuver Company (MC) in Barangay Anoling, General Nakar, Quezon on Sunday, March 12. The Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 4-A  identified the surrenderers as brothers Pepito and Estelito Cabangon. The Cabangons surrendered through the efforts of the 405th MC-RMFB 4A, Regional Intelligence Unit 4 A-Provincial Intelligence Team-Quezon, Regional Intelligence Division 4-A, Catanauan Police, 85th Infantry Battalion, and 201st Infantry Brigade. They turned over a T-shirt with the marking of PIGLAS-Quezon, subversive documents, and books such as “Tagumpay sa Sambayanang Pilipino,” “Pakikipag-usap sa mga Lider ng Rebulusyong Pilipino,” “Ang Sining ng Digmaang Bayan,” and “Mga Sulatin Militar ni Vo Nguyen Giap.”
