2 drug pushers yield P15-M shabu in Cebu City

CEBU CITY —Police seized two kilos of suspected shabu worth P14.7 million and arrested two men in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tisa here on Saturday, March 11. Cordova) Suspects were identified as Aljan Mijares of Barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City, and Hardy Catipay Paquite, 41, of Barangay Cogon Pardo, Cebu City. The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-Central Visayas arrested the suspects listed as high-value individuals. "Our police tediously developed the targets and their modus operandi and launched an intelligence-based operation resulting in this operational accomplishment,” Brig. Gen. Jerry Bearis, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas, said following the successful anti-illegal drug operation. A day earlier, police seized 452 grams of shabu from six suspected drug pushers worth more than P3 million in separate buy-bust operations here. In Barangay Guadalupe, a 19-year-old high-value personality and his cohort was arrested with P1.3-million worth of suspected shabu. Police identified the suspects as Raymond Gablines Palmitos and a certain ‘’Bamboo.’’ Niño Cortes dela Cruz yielded 52 grams of suspected shabu valued at P353,600 in Barangay Mambaling when he was apprehended by the City Drug Enforcement Unit. In Barangay Lahug, Rogelio Debalucos and Jerry Delgado were caught with 90 grams of suspected shabu worth P612,000. Jereto Mahusay Salimbot was arrested in Barangay Tejero with 110 grams of suspected shabu worth P748,000.
