Tingog Party-list led by its nominees in the 19th Congress, Reps. Yedda Marie Romualdez and Jude Acidre led on Sunday, March 12 the distribution of P1 million worth of cash aid or "ayuda" to Filipinos in need.
The distribution took place at the Lapu-Lapu City Sports Complex, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
Under Tingog Party-list's Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program, a total of 100 individuals were each given a P10,000 cash aid. The total of the dole out was P1 million.
The distribution coincided with the inauguration of the Alagang Tingog Center Satellite Office in Lapu-Lapu City.
Rep. Romualdez, wife of House Speaker Martin Romualdez, is the chairperson of the Committee on Accounts.
Acidre, on the other hand, is a deputy majority leader. He is part of the powerful Committee on Rules.
