Korean show ‘Jinny’s Kitchen’ episode 3 grabs No. 1 spot in the ratings


The third episode of the Korean show “Jinny’s Kitchen” (aka “Seojin’s”) grabbed the No. 1 spot in the ratings in South Korea. 

“Jinny’s Kitchen,” available on Prime Video and tvN (South Korea), stars Lee Seo-jin, Jung Yu-mi, Park Seo-jun, Choi Woo-shik and BTS’ V who opened a Korean street food restaurant in Bacalar, Mexico.

According to Nielsen Korea, the third episode of “Jinny’s Kitchen” on March 10 garnered a nationwide rating of 8.39 percent on paid platforms (cable, IPTV and satellite) in South Korea. 

This is a slight dip of 0.95 percentage point from 9.347 percent rating for the second episode on March 3. The nationwide rating for episode 3 peaked at 11.3 percent. 

The decrease was due to competition as the airing of “Jinny’s Kitchen” overlapped with the “World Baseball Classic 2023” match between South Korea and Japan, which aired on Korea’s three terrestrial channels. 

In the metropolitan area (Seoul, Gyeong-gi and Incheon), episode 3 of “Jinny’s Kitchen” episode 2 received a rating of 9.39 percent, compared to 11.12 percent for the second episode. It peaked at 11.3 percent. 

Among the target 20-49 age group among males and females,  “Jinny’s Kitchen” episode 3 got 3.5 percent nationwide in South Korea and 3.6 percent in the metropolitan area, ranking first in the same time slot for all channels including terrestrial nationwide and in the metropolitan area.
