Fire hits warehouse of plastic products in QC

A fire gutted a one-storey warehouse of plastic products on P. Dela Cruz Street, Sitio Gitna , Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Quezon City early Monday morning, March 13. The Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire was raised to first alarm at 12:15 a.m. and to second alarm at 12:20 a.m. It escalated to third alarm at 12:31 a.m. and to the fourth alarm at 12:57 a.m. The blaze was declared under contro at around 6:41 a.m. Fire fighters were able to put out the fire at 12:10 p.m. A firefighter was reported to have sustained second degree burns on his left leg and right hand during the incident. Authorities placed a P70 million estimated damage to property caused by the blaze. Probers have yet to determine the cause of the fire which reportedly started from the ceiling of the facility.
