The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) conducted a major reshuffle of revenue district officers based in Metro Manila and nearby provinces amid its tax campaign to raise P2.6 trillion this year.
BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui, Jr. signed the five-page travel assignment order affecting 45 field officials mostly RDOs in the metropolis to further enhance the tax collection drive.
The BIR chief reminded individual and business taxpayers that they have until April 17 to file the 2022 income tax return (ITR).
The Tax Code fixes the deadline on April 15 of every year, but the date this time falls on Saturday it was moved to the next working day April 17.
Among the RDOs transferred to key assignments were Linda Grace B. Sagun, from South Manila to Pasig City; Deogracias T. Villar, Jr., from Pasig City to Taguig City; Abdullah D. Bandrang, from North Quezon City to large taxpayers service audit division; Renato J. Mina, from Taguig City to North Quezon City; Bethsheba R. Bautista, from West Makati to South Quezon City.
Elmer Carolino, from Malabon to West Makati;Teresita Y. Lumayag, from Binondo, Manila to Malabon; Caroline M. Takata, from Paranaque City to Binondo; Arnel R. Cosinas, from City of San Fernando to Paranaque; Arnulfo A. Galapia, from Tondo, Manila to San Juan City; Renato L. Ruiz, from Pasay City to Tondo.
Antonio J. Mangubat, Jr., from Sta. Maria, Bulacan to Novaliches, Quezon City; Raymund V. Ranchez, from Naga City to Plaridel, Bulacan; Grace Evelyn A. Laserna, from Dumaguete City to Cainta-Taytay; Esther Rhoda Formosa, from San Juan City to Pasay City; Alma Celestial T. Cayabyab, from Cubao, Quezon City to Marikina; Lorenzo C.
