PRC was tapped by the two counties as its official donation collection site. "Yung SM Foundation na kakampi natin, matagal na ‘yan, tumutulong sa atin, nagbigay sila. ‘Yan naman ang masasabi ko na ipinagmamalaki ko na ang tiwala ng mga malalaking kumpanya at ng maraming tao ay nasa Red Cross sa pagtulong whether abroad or here (The SM Foundation, which is on our side, has been helping us for a long time, they are giving. I am proud to say that the trust of large companies and many people when it comes to helping whether here tor abroad is in Red Cross)," said PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard Gordon during the turnover ceremony at PRC National Headquarters in Mandaluyong. Türkiye and Syria will receive 100 generators each. "Each generator has 3500 surge watts, and 2800 running watts, and is capable of 10-hour runtime (50% load)," said PRC. "Ever since, Red Cross talaga ang aming pinipili na organisasyon para sa aming mga donasyon kahit anumang kalamidad ito because we are very strong partners with the Philippine Red Cross. Alam namin na nakasisiguro ang aming donasyon ay napupunta ito doon sa mga tamang beneficiaries (Ever since, Red Cross is really our chosen organization for our donations no matter what calamity it is because we are very strong partners with the Philippine Red Cross. We know that our donation is guaranteed to go to the right beneficiaries)," said SM Foundation Executive Director of Health and Medical Programs Connie Angeles. The donations were transported to the two counties on March 6 via Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Aside from that, PRC had already donated 300 winter tents to Türkiye. The Senate also sent P2.5 million worth of cash assistance for the quake victims through PRC.
