Simple Plan reunites with Pinoy fans after 11 years

Canadian rock band Simple Plan gave their Pinoy fans an energetic performance at their "Harder Than It Looks" Asia tour at the New Frontier Theater last March 10. Presented by Willbros Live, fans lined up outside the theater to watch their sold-out concert as early as mid-afternoon. Before the band hit the stage, Ariel made an opening performance. As the lights went dim, the fans went out with the loudest cheers as the band entered the stage while the Star Wars theme song played in the background. "Are you guys ready to party with simple plan tonight!" Pierre said before performing, the band opened the concert with their song "I'd Do Anything," followed by "Shut Up."
Before heading to their second set, the frontman of Simple Plan, Pierre Bouvier, thanked all the fans who supported them. "It's been a really long time since we've been here, and we're just really excited to be here. You guys are beautiful. Thank you so much for making it tonight for our sold-out show," Pierre added. As the night continued, the band sang fan-favorite songs, such as "Jet Lag," "Welcome to My Life," and "Summer Paradise," where the band gave out one beach ball with their sign.
Aside from their original songs, the band also did a medley All-Star/ Sk8er Boi / Mr. Brightside, and it was then followed by "What's New Scooby-Doo" where are fan came up on stage wearing a scooby doo costume. "Salamat Scooby," said Pierre after the performance. Before closing the night, Simple Plan ended their concert with "I'm Just a kid," Untitled," and "Perfect." After their sold-out performance in Manila, the band will head to the SMX Convention Davao for their second concert on March 13.
