Two more members of a Japanese violent crime syndicate have been arrested by Bureau of Immigration (BI) operatives in BF Homes in Paranaque City, it was revealed.
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco identified the duo as Fujita Kari, 24, and Kumai Hitomi, 25.
The ring leader Yuki Watanabe who used the name of a popular Japanese anime character "Luffy" was deported last February 8 to Tokyo together with several of his cohorts.
The group made headlines in the news media for involvement in violent crimes in Japan like extortion, kidnapping, robbery and even murder.
Using the internet, Watanabe ordered his men in Japan to commit such crimes while hiding in the Philippines, authorities said.
Tansingco said they received information from Japanese authorities that the two members have standing warrants of arrest issued by the Tokyo Summary Court for serious crimes.
Fujita and Kumai were tagged by the BI as undesirable aliens, and are now detained in its holding facility in Taguig City pending deportation.
