PRO 2 participates in first quarter nationwide quake drill

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Police Regional Office 2 (Cagayan Valley) and Bureau of Fire Protection participated in the first quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) in Camp Marcelo Adduru here on Thursday, March 9.

Police observed the duck, cover, and hold technique.

While on alert for potential threats, they sought cover in shelves and showed how they could exit a building and go to the designated evacuation area.

Participating policemen were immediately counted to ensure that they are all accounted for and safe.

The rescue and medical team responded immediately and applied first aid to designated victims.

BFP personnel showed diligence in putting out the fire that was part of the drill.

Debriefing was also conducted as the last part of the activity where observations and suggestions were laid out.

The drill aims to promote disaster preparedness and resilience among uniformed personnel.
