CAVITE – A man reportedly killed his partner’s four children before committing suicide in Barangay Cabuco, Trece Martires City, on Thursday, March 9. In a statement, Trece Martires City Police Station (CPS) chief Lt. Col. Jonathan A. Asnan said the victims were three girls aged 14, 10, and eight, and one boy aged six. All victims were allegedly stabbed to death. Also found at the crime scene was the body of the suspect, identified as alias Filemon, with a knife on his chest. Authorities believe he stabbed himself after committing the crime. The suspect still had a pulse when authorities arrived and was rushed to the hospital but died while receiving medical treatment. The police said the mother of the children is an overseas Filipino worker in Dubai and alias Filemon was looking after her children. “Sinasabing dahil sa selos ang pinag-ugatan ng insidente kaya nagawa ni alyas Filemon ang karumaldumal na krimen. Nakita din ng pulisya ang isang mensahe para sa ina ng mga bata na isinulat sa dugo na humihingi ng pasensya dito (Apparently, it was because of jealousy why alias Filemon did the heinous crime. The police also saw a message for the mother of the kids written in blood asking for forgiveness),” the police statement said. Authorities are still investigating if the suspect was under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs when he committed the crime.
