Manila archdiocese to hold bloodletting drive for Cardinal Advincula's birthday

The Archdiocese of Manila will conduct a bloodletting activity as a birthday gift to Manila Archbishop Jose F. Cardinal Advincula for his 71st birthday on March 30.

In a memo, the archdiocese encouraged the faithful to donate blood for His Eminenceā€™s birth anniversary.

ā€œThe Human Resource Development Department of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Manila would like to appeal to you and to your relatives and friends, to donate blood on March 30, 2023, to commemorate the 71st birthday of our Archbishop, Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, D.D.,ā€ said Fr. Sanny De Claro, director of RCAM HRDD in a memo released in Feb. 17.

Dubbed as ā€œDugo na regalo mo, buhay para sa kapwa mo,ā€ the blood-letting drive will be held at the fourth Floor of the Arzobispado de Manila building in Intramuros, Manila on March 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The RCAM-HRDD organized the event in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross.

In the past years, the Archdiocese of Manila conducted bloodletting activities on the birthday of former Manila archdiocese Archbishop Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle.

Interested parties may call the HRDD office at telephone number 8527-3956 and look for Joel Madronio.

Born on March 30, 1952, Cardinal Advincula is a professed member of the Dominican Order.

He is the 33rd Archbishop of Manila.

He became a cardinal in November 2020.
