ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-9 launched the Zamboanga City fire alert program and a newly acquired ambulance for emergency services on Wednesday, March 1, in line with the observance of Fire Prevention Month.
The fire alert program notifies the public of fire incidents through the telegram application made available through Google and Apple play stores.
Supt. Christopher Morales, district fire marshal, is inviting the public to use its new applications for real-time notification of fire incidents here.
BFP-9 expanded services and activated a Type 1 ambulance for emergency calls.
The operation of an ambulance was made possible after the issuance of the appropriate license by the Department of Health (DOH).
The fully equipped ambulance is manned by trained personnel to provide emergency and medical services to the public.
