Talent manager Boy Abunda couldn't help but react to Liza Soberano's revelations about her career in her recent vlog. During the latest episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” The King of Talk admitted how he's "extremely disappointed" with the actress. He zeroed in on the 25-year-old's reasons for striking out on her own.  [READ MORE HERE: Ogie Diaz on Liza Soberano: ‘Nanghihinayang ako’](https://mb.com.ph/2023/02/24/ogie-diaz-on-liza-soberano-nanghihinayang-ako/) He also commented on Liza's claim that she didn't have a say on the kind of work assigned her, simply rotating around the same three directors and the same main co-star for the past 13 years of her being in ABS-CBN.   Boy deemed it as "complaints." "Masakit pakinggan. Kasi you were working with three of the best directors of this country," he reiterated. "Bilang tagahanga, ang gusto kong sabihin, Liza, ang hinangaan namin, hindi ikaw ‘yon. For the last 13 years ang hinangaan namin hindi si Liza ‘yon. Because you were saying in your vlog na: 'I had no say kung anong material. Kung anong sasabihin ko...'" The 67-year-old noted that he's now sharing his two cents because one of his past interviews with Liza was included in the vlog. "I don’t know the intent, I don’t know where she wanted to go. Pero kung rebranding lang ito and redirection, medyo masakit lalo na para sa aming mga manager," he explained. [READ MORE HERE: OH NO! Boy related how talents would approach managers to help them plan their careers. So those managers would do their best to boost said artists' journey using their connections. Doon na nagbabago ang lente, ‘yung kaniyang prism na, ‘Ah this is what I want. I want more,’” he said. “Na masakit, dahil you can proceed with your career, you can redirect your career. Pero sana you can journey in gratitude. Sana baon mo ang pagpapasalamat, sa lahat ng mga nangyari at sa lahat ng mga taong dumaan sa buhay mo at kasama mo," Boy continued. Sabihin na natin may mga karanasan ka na hindi masyadong maganda because you wanted to be heard, you wanted to be more visible in your career. Pero Liza, lahat ng nangyari sa ‘yo, lahat - nothing is ever wasted. Lahat. Lahat ‘yan nagiging point of reference mo, ‘Ay ito pala ang ibig sabihin no’n.'" Boy admitted how hurtful it was to hear Liza reveal how she didn't get to choose her screen name. At what we knew at ang hinangaan namin was a good girl. Ang hinangaan namin was an excellent actor. Huwag mong isantabi. Do not disregard your past. Do not disregard the 13 years na minahal ka ng fans mo.
