BUTUAN CITY – Authorities arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized shabu valued at P700,000 in Barangay San Vicente here on Wednesday, Feb. 8.
The lady suspect, whose identity was temporarily withheld pending the arrest of her dealer and other contacts, was an online seller here and was apprehended during the implementation of a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region dated Feb. 7, 2023 around 10:10 p.m.
The suspect did not resist arrest and yielded 103 grams of suspected shabu, a digital weighing scale, a digital weighing scoop, lighters, a small metal tong, and a metal scoop.
The operation was witnessed by the representatives from the Department of Justice, media, and officials of Barangay San Vicente.
Police Regional Office 13 Director Brig. Gen. Pablo Labra II said the campaign against illegal drugs remains unrelenting.
“Under the D.A.D.D.I. Program, suppressing drug menace and intensifying the fight against criminality are among the top priorities of PNP Caraga,” Labra said.
“This running after drug peddlers and syndicates will continue until we free the Caraga region from the influence of illegal drugs.”
