Overturned truck causes heavy traffic in Sta. Cruz, Manila

A trailer truck that overturned along Aragon-Mendoza Boulevard in Sta. Cruz, Manila caused heavy traffic on Thursday, Feb. 9.

According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the trailer truck was traversing southbound on Mendoza Boulevard when it suddenly overturned at 5:36 a.m.

It said the trailer truck was loaded with construction materials such as cement and rocks.

The Manila Police District (MPD) Traffic Sector said it took hours before the truck was put back to its position, causing heavy traffic in the area.

Authorities have yet to determine whether the truck was overloaded.

No one was injured in the incident.

The MMDA said the truck remains in the area and advised motorists to take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.
