Mayor Olivarez issues guidelines for 'Padyak Parañaque sa Kalusugan'


The city government of Parañaque issued guidelines for the Padyak Parañaque sa Kalusugan activity to be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, at Ayala Malls, Manila Bay, Aseana Avenue, Barangay Tambo.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said the Padyak Parañaque sa Kalusugan, a project of the City Health Office (CHO), is part of the activities for the celebration of the 25th cityhood anniversary.

Olivarez said the activity is free and open to 800 participants aged six years old and above.

He said participants who are below 18 years old are required to submit a parent’s consent together with their proof of complete primary series of vaccination.

The mayor added that participants must be accompanied by parents or a guardian during the activity.

Olivarez also added that children should wear helmets and other protective gear.

He said all the participants must bring their own bicycles conditioned for concrete roads. They must be responsible for their own safety and others, obey regulations and instructions from the technical officials and marshalls.

He added that participants must be physically fit to join and aware of their surroundings.

The mayor also said participants may rest provided they do not leave the route of the cycling event. They are also not allowed to take shortcuts, and may opt to do another round of the cycling route provided this is within their capacity or within the time frame of the cycling event.

Olivarez said water stations will be placed at the start, finish and middle points of the cycling route.

Olivarez said the city government will be providing two routes for those aged 6 to 17 years old and 18 years old and above.
