Man fatally stabs wife's lover after catching them kissing in Leyte

LA PAZ, Leyte – A 42-year-old construction worker was arrested for allegedly killing his wife’s lover after he caught the pair kissing in Barangay Lubi-Lubi here on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Police identified the suspect as Agusto Pedrigal.

Investigation said that Pedrigal already had suspicions that his wife was having an illicit affair with the victim, Nilo Suyom, 32, a resident of Poblacion District II here, who worked in a poultry farm nearby.

Pedrigal’s suspicion was confirmed when he allegedly caught his wife and the victim kissing when he arrived home. The angry suspect stabbed the victim multiple times and died on the spot.

Responding policemen apprehended the suspect and saw the victim’s bloodied body with stab wounds lying on the floor.

Pedrigal is under the custody of the La Paz Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
