Government employee wounded in Zamboanga del Sur shooting

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- An employee of the Labangan Municipal Government was shot and wounded by a still unidentified gunman at the Crossing Tawagan Norte, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

PMaj. Shellamie Chang, Police Regional Office-9 Information Officer, identified the victim as 50-year-old Nasser Acad Dading, a revenue collector clerk.

Chang said Dading was at the market when one of two suspects approached and shot him twice.

Dading was rushed to the Aisah Hospital in Pagadian City while the suspects escaped on board a motorcycle.

Police recovered an empty shell of a .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Police are conducting pursuit operations for the arrest of the suspect.
